An offer letter is a letter given by a company to a potential candidate that provides key terms of the prospective candidate’s confirmation. An offer letter is issued by the institution to the selected student and is an official confirmation that the student is selected to study in the applied country and is found suitable. Also, it is known as the letter of intent. An offer letter is a formal way of offering a student with the details along with the appointment letter. The offer letter can be said as the final contract for the students. Pragmatic will go throughout all the application procedures until the applicant is accepted and receives an i-20/ Offer Letter from the respective college or university.

Documents that are needed for processing an offer letter:

  • Passport (Photocopy)
  • IELTS result sheet
  • All the Academic Documents till the date
  • Application form of University/ College
  • Work Experience (If any)
  • Statement of purpose (SOP)
  • Marriage certificate (If married)

According to the rules of universities or colleges, some may require additional documents.

The time duration for receiving an offer letter

Offer letter processing usually takes the duration from 1 day to 4 weeks. It all depends on the overall process of the university/ college and the application documents fulfillment.

After the application is received by the institution, your offer letter is either provided or rejected.

  • If the letter is rejected, you may go to other colleges and improve your application.
  • Else you go the offer letter and you can go for the next step i.e. financial preparation.

Reasons that could result in the rejection of the offer letter:

  • The applicant doesn’t meet the academic threshold.
  • The application is submitted after the deadline.
  • The application is incomplete.
  • The school isn’t a good fit.
  • There are too many errors.
  • The student has a record of undisciplined.
  • The demand is much greater than the institution supply.
