The first thing that comes to your mind when you are thinking about studying abroad is cost. How much cost it takes is the main question. However, many students don’t have the idea that they can apply their current on-campus financial aid package to their study in plus to scholarships. Even for the students who pay out-of-state tuition, to study abroad can be cheaper than a traditional campus semester.
Merit-based:
These are based on the student’s qualifications and their certificates.
Student-specific:
These are based on factors like gender, race, family, religion, or many other student-specification factors.
Destination-specific:
These scholarships are provided by a country to students who are planning for studying abroad programs in that country.
Program-specific:
These are provided by individual study abroad programs where they may be associated with qualified applicants, often based on academic and personal achievement.
Subject-specific:
These scholarships are provided by study abroad programs to students based on the particular field of study.
o For masters, 25% of the total tuition fees can be considered, depending on the previous academic results.
o For international undergraduate academics, 25% of the total tuition fees is offered, throughout the duration of the studies and will be assessed automatically.
o For international pathways academic, $9000 is offered, whose eligibility must be Foundation Year+ Unilink Diploma+ Bachelor program.
o Federal international Excellence Scholarship offers a 20% reduction of annual tuition fees, eligible to the students having overall performance in UG with “Distinction” in Year12, and overall academic performance in PG with Credit.
o International Student Accommodation Scholarship offers up to the value of $2000, for which eligible students are the one who applies for the full year.
o Alumni & Family Scholarship offers 25% of the first-year tuition fee with the maximum of AUD$10,000, for the students commencing studies at Curtin’s Western Australia campuses in 2017, and the one commencing a full Curtin undergraduate or master by coursework program, and the non-sponsored students of any nationality except Australia.
o Bursary Award (Philippine market) offers $2500 with the full payment of the semester fee.
o Bursary Award (Latin and European market) offers the scholarship of $4500 with the full payment of scholarship fee.
o Vice-Chancellor’s International High Achievers Scholarship offers 25%, and 50% of total tuition fees, to the students having academic excellence and high achievement, applying for full duration UG and PG degrees.
o Deakin International Scholarship provides 25% of the tuition fees to the students who are a prospective international student, have a visa, do not have any other Deakin scholarship or bursary, and have an average of 65% in previous studies.
o Deakin Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship offers 50% of the tuition fees to the students who fulfill the above criteria but must have an average of 85% in previous studies.
